A major insurer retained G4S Compliance & Investigations (G4S) to conduct surveillance on a middle-aged gentleman reporting injury to his spine. While in view of our investigator, the claimant was sighted to depart his residence wearing a neck brace and using a walking stick.
However during later periods of surveillance, the claimant was observed to walk without a walking stick or any other aid. Video evidence revealed the claimant turning his neck and bending his back with no apparent restrictions. The claimant was even seen pushing his broken down motor vehicle, carrying furniture above shoulder height and using his head to balance furniture. The claimant was also seen turning his neck and bending his back with no apparent restrictions.
The video documentation of the subject's activities was of great advantage to the insurer when settling the claim.
