As a result of a G4S Compliance & Investigations (G4S) investigation, two restaurants were issued notices revoking their approval for outdoor dining. The eateries were previously warned by government authorities to stop their high-pressure spruiking for customers or face losing their outdoor dining approval. Over a two year period, the two restaurants had been locked in a competitive state and at times, physical brawls broke out between their two owners. One person required hospital treatment while another sustained minor head injuries. G4S were able to document evidence that both parties had continued with spruiking despite previous court proceedings.
